Watchdog on Petrol Cost Up Until Easter

The price of petrol is close to Australia& 39;s consumer surveillance during this evidence Easter.
Any pricing will be discussed. Treasurer Peter Costello has commissioned the Australian Competition and Consumer (ACCC) to monitor prices in the local market to lower pricing. The commission is allowed to prosecute anyone who is the practice of pricing. This should be a big warning to all those who plan to take advantage of the situation since the ACCC is known for successfully prosecuting criminals and said, in fact, have achieved large amounts of the fines against them.
The Australian Competition and Consumer (ACCC) is an independent statutory authority established in 1995, this is due to the merger of the Australian Trade Practices Commission (TPC) and the Prices Surveillance Authority. They serve the community as a governmental body which aims to protect consumers& 39; rights, business rights and obligations and make industry regulation and price controls. They are also responsible for preventing unauthorized anti-competitive behaviour. They administer the Trade Practices Act 1974 and the Prices Surveillance Act of 1983. This is the only national agency dealing generally with competition issues. Taken together, the ACCC covers all unfair market practices, mergers or acquisitions, product safety and liability and third party access to facilities of the national measure significance.
This price of petrol is being caused by the comments that come Easter time and all other holiday periods; gas prices traditionally rise. These price hikes for gasoline always occur during the holiday periods and the consumer-motorists are starting to become agitated.
To give greater assurance that there is no way of pricing or any other form of price rises in products gasoline, one of the giants of oil, Caltex - through its executive director - has proclaimed that the concept of holiday petrol price increase will be only one thing of the past. Moreover, Caltex spokesman Richard Beattie, said that the claims of speculation during the holiday seasons are simply not true. He added that there is new information to demonstrate that the price cycle has always behaved in a " so far downward later " so, whether or not at Easter. He denies any price gouging.
These made several statements eyebrows rise and said that motorists will pay the price of " not increase " through and through Easter school holidays. According to figures the past, there was no jump just before Easter, but there was a 13 percent jump just ten days earlier. There have been no reports on prices for auto parts such as Mercedes fuel injectors, whether they were affected or not.
